Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy

I love that song. I just think the lyrics are funny. The tune isn't so bad either. (I'm not sure who even sings it.)

I'm heading to see Kenny Chesney today. I'm not really a fan, but there was an extra ticket. I'm all about the event. I remember once going to see the "Pittsburgh Bulls." They were a lacrosse team back in the early 90's. I didn't know dick about lacrosse (and still don't,) but it was fun to be at the game.

So today I head out to country music bonanza with Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Gretchen Wilson, Pat Green and Uncle Kracker. (All y'all loyal readers probably think I'm a Krack Head for going as country music isn't my normal genre of jam.) And what is Uncle Kracker doing there? Well...I've linked all of them for your viewing pleasure (and for my research of who I'm actually going to hear.) If you're going to be there, look for me....

I'll be the one in the cowboy hat.

Guilty Pleasure

I love Laguna Beach. I'm so happy it's back. Also finished Harry Potter 6. Very good. I won't spoil it...

"You're terrrrrible, Muriel"

Well...I made it through the wedding without my name being yelled over the mic for the bouquet toss...except this time the bride came to the table to get me.

I'm all for the bouquet toss. I used to love it. Running out there hoping that at some point I might catch it and be the next to get married. sure. It was great. But, I did catch the bouquet once. I was 23. I'm not married yet...so guess what? I'm over the bouquet toss. Have it. Have it all you want...but for Christ's sake. If someone hasn't come up when they call for it--they probably don't want to come up there. It's not as if they forgot. I never forgot about it. It was the first thing I thought of when going to weddings before...well, right after the bar and the cake.

Do I look that desperate? Is everyone feeling bad for me? "Oh get molly up here. Maybe she'll catch the bouquet and that will give her a push to get married." I understand the tradition of it...but next time folks...leave us late 20-somethings and up out of it. Don't you worry...we'll be there if we feel like it.

Other than that, the wedding was fun. The ceremony (noon) and reception (5:00) were far apart so Doug and I went and had a beer and saw "Wedding Crashers." Very funny. Silly, but funny. We looked kind of silly going in there with my dress and heels and his shirt and tie. But, hey...we were wedding hopping...ha. (I at least thought it was funny.) Thanks Doug...great wedding with you as usual!

No life changing event...I certainly didn't win the Powerball. Someday. Up next on the agenda I believe is the wave pool this weekend with a trip to the Gypsy. Then off to Punta Cana on the 8th....possibly a Cedar Point trip in between. (Looking forward to a corndog....mmm.)

Well...it's hot as balls outside so I'm going to take advantage of the pool...few days left until school starts. 30 to be exact. Powerball....where are you?

Horoscopes and New Readings

This will be short and sweet...those of you who know me or at least have been reading, you know my obsession with the supernatural. I once even in a drunk night left myself a Post-It note of a list of things to do..."Get shampoo. Pay credit card. Develop Psychic Ability." Yes folks. Quite embarassing, too when you wake up hungover on the couch and your roomate is staring at you with the Post-It in your hand. (Sadly...I was serious and still try to develop my abilities.) Anyway...a friend of mine from childhood gave me a new blog to read. So I lurked. Good stuff. Then I lurked some more (or s'more.) And, I found this....

Will it keep me from getting my cards read? Um, no...but it's a hell of a good story.

Oh yeah...last reading from Rebecca I was the card on the left in relationships...real open, eh? I think I'm heading more into the card on the right. (Really...I'm just having fun posting pictures.)

What's Goin' On...

I can't believe the summer is half way over. Maybe I'll win the Powerball on Wednesday and it will never be over.

Well...I just cancelled my membership to match.com. Thank goodness. Whether it was not the time for me or I'm just a loser, it just plain sucked. Wait...I'm not a loser...It's been documented.

Got my copy of HP and the Half-blood Prince. Have to say...pretty good so far. Actually, really good. Though I'm realizing I may have read The Order of the Phoenix a little too fast as I'm tapping my brain trying to remember things. I also received The Hollywood Dodo from Doug for my birthday. I hope to get into that next week.

Went camping this past weekend...good times. We canoed, ate, drank, were merry. It's the usual for us kids...paper bag or a palace...we can have a good time.

My friend Renee and her husband had their first baby this weekend. Nathan Charles. 8lbs. Whoa, baby! Congrats to them!

So my favorite card reader said that something "lifechanging" is going to happen from a 3 week timeline from the last reading (July 2.) This looks like this week/end sometime. My horoscope also heeds attention to this....(I'm feeling Powerball, but it probably will be something like a skin rash or trench mouth.)

Heading to my 3rd, yes 3rd wedding of the summer this weekend. Can we make it a THIRD time I'm called out over the mic for the bouquet toss? (Oh yeah...I forgot to blog about that...seems to happen so often that I assume it tradition with the cake cutting and stomping of the glass thing.) We will see. At least this time I have a date to take to the wedding. Thanks, D for being my usual great wedding date.

Those of you who know me well know that I have bizarre dreams and many a night. So last night I had dream that some strange man appeared in the back of my car and as I went to yell and scream my tongue became almost too big for my mouth and paralized in a sticking out position with my teeth clamped on it. Am I being warned to keep my mouth shut about something? Fat chance.

Keep checking the picture...I've been changing it according to moods, but the front page takes some time to catch up.

Has anyone watched the INXS search for a new front? I'm quite enjoying it.

Random Thoughts about Me.

Some random thoughts...

1. Tie for best rerun show....Cosby or The Wonder Years (though I haven't seen this rerun in a while.)
2. I was thinking about saying hello to someone and how I would say it and I actually did...outloud...by myself in the car.
3. I stood in the line at the deli today and talked to random people. Is that weird?
4. I added a picture to my profile...not sure why it's not coming up on the front page...I think I'll keep changing the pic of who I feel like for the day/week. If you know me well enough, you know why I chose the current one.
5. Keanu Reeves is still the worst actor known...but I do really like "A Walk in the Clouds."
6. I forgot how much I really like Queen until I heard a new car commercial yesterday.
7. While I know reality TV isn't that creative...I love it. The really bad stuff, too.
8. It takes an average of 364 licks to get to the center of a tootsie pop...does that mean if you did one lick per day it would be done in a year or do the licks have to be continuous to keep the lollypop wet and disolving?
9. The smell of anise could make me throw up....yet the I like the smell of skunks.

Woobie Woobie

So I'm hooked on the Andy Milonakis (sp?) show on Mtv...I LOVE that show. It's really stupid silly, but funny. The part with his dog cracks me up. If you haven't watched it the show is brief skits that are really stupid, but crack me up. Randomly it will break to his dog and he's cooing at it saying "woobie woobie." Then you see a bubble above the dog's head with "woobie" envisioning killing Andy.

So...here's my "Woobie" Neville....with the his stuffed animal "Teenage Neville" ...he also has a "Baby Neville." (Basically stuffed animals that look like him but are smaller in size...I know...pathetic, but if you have a dog..you know what I mean.

Hopefully more interesting stuff this weekend.

And...now I know how to put pics on so hopefully more fun pictures.

Die Hard Fan

Now this is fan-atic. I've told my out of town friends the dedication and love that Pittsburgh has for their sports teams...especially the Steelers. This guy....well, maybe now they'll send him his season tickets.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I'm 29 today...Happy Birthday to me!!! It's been a great day. I've spent it exactly how I wanted. I woke up, walked the dog, put on the Today Show...Around 10:30 I thought...it's not too early for a glass of wine. Well, maybe too early for wine, so I had a couple bloody mary's and watched some SATC. I finally watched the alternate endings for the finale. OMG. I would have been so pissed had it been anything but how they ended it. I love that show.

So I didn't cry today...well, I did. But, only for the ending of SATC. (The finale always makes me cry.) I think I'm actually happy being 29 (I say that a little on edge.) This is the year of me. They should add me to the Chinese year thing. Rat, Dragon, Molly. I don't know why, but I have a feeling it's going to be a good year. I figure this....it can't get much worse than the past 3. They have been somewhat aweful. The trips and highs (sounds like I was on drugs...but, um, no) were great, but the lows and down times were not. I'm looking forward to new experiences and new things.

Okay...the drinks are catching up to me and I'm beat. I had a wonderful weekend with lots of friends and good times....I'll try to blog about all of it later in the week, but I'm beat.
